Innovative Pharmacy Practice Endowed Chair

The UAMS College of Pharmacy is positioned to achieve distinction in the areas of practice innovation and entrepreneurship. Building on a long history of educating pharmacy leaders, we will establish an endowed faculty chair that supports Pharmacy Practice Innovation.

An endowment of $1 million, invested by the University of Arkansas Foundation for the College of Pharmacy, will provide annual support for a new faculty member in the College who will implement and evaluate novel approaches to the work of patient care, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and lowering healthcare costs.

Resulting discoveries then can establish models that prove to payers the benefits of paying pharmacists to provide direct patient care.  Pharmacy needs this resource in today’s evolving healthcare system.  Students will benefit from an enriched educational program and graduate with the skills and understanding to thrive economically in new roles.

As we celebrate ten years of Dean Stephanie Gardner’s leadership, your support for this endowed chair with a gift in her honor, will help in the recruitment and retention of a prominent scholar who can help create new roles for pharmacists and conduct practical clinical research that will be the foundation for innovation in pharmacy practice.
