Jane was born and raised in Austin, Texas where she attended The University of Texas at Austin to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Minor in Biology (Hook Em Horns!). She graduated Cum Laude from the Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy with her Doctorate of Pharmacy. There, she was active with leadership roles in multiple student organizations where she had the opportunity to develop her skills in team building, interprofessional communication, and organization management. Jane began her journey with Walmart in 2010. Her passion for helping others through pharmacological care then became reality, and she was able to witness firsthand how community pharmacists positively impact their patients. During her time as a Community Practice Resident with the Walmart Home Office, she hopes to improve health outcomes by empowering patients through education so that they may take better control of their overall health. Outside of the pharmacy, Jane enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Sam, and their rescue dog, Cookie, attending music festivals, golfing, and experiencing new adventures.

During her time at Howard, Nneka submerged herself in the public health sector as an active member and leader in the Capitol City Pharmacy Medical Reserve Corps. Her passion for improving patient health outcomes is what has led her to pursue the Community Practice Residency Program with Walmart. She is also excited to have the opportunity to precept students and make an impact on the future generations of pharmacists. Outside of pharmacy, she likes to explore new places, participate in her two-person book club, have bible and brunch with her friends, or spend some relaxing time at home with scented candles!
